MUM 2025, the 24th International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia
Enna, Italy, December 1-4, 2025
The International Conference on Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia (MUM 2025) invites proposals for workshops and tutorials to be held on the first day of the conference, Monday, December 1st, 2025.
MUM is an inclusive, cross-disciplinary forum for innovation in mobile, wearable, embedded, and ubiquitous technologies that enhance everyday life. We welcome workshop and tutorial proposals that introduce new ideas, foster community building, and offer hands-on exploration of emerging topics.
🛠 Workshops
A MUM Workshop provides a dynamic setting for researchers, practitioners, and designers to come together around a shared interest. A MUM Workshop is a forum for attendees with shared interests to present, discuss, and develop new ideas around a specific theme or domain related to Mobile and Ubiquitous Multimedia. It is a unique opportunity to exchange perspectives, explore new research directions, and initiate collaborations in an interactive format.
We especially encourage workshops that go beyond mini-conferences - those that actively engage participants in discussion, design activities, or prototyping sessions. Organizers are also encouraged to open their workshop to any MUM attendee, not only those submitting position papers.
All accepted workshop proposals will be peer-reviewed and included in the ACM Digital Library, ensuring visibility and impact beyond the event itself.
If you would like to discuss your ideas before submitting, feel free to reach out to the chairs (see below).
Workshop Proposal Guidelines
Proposals should be submitted in the ACM Primary Article Template (6 pages max, excluding references), and include:
- Workshop title and abstract (≤150 words)
- Motivation and relevance to MUM
- Format and structure of activities
- Anticipated outcomes and follow-up plans
- Organizing team and their bios
- Plans for attracting participants (e.g., call dissemination)
- Requirements for room setup or materials
